Do you feel like you can't leave the house to even check the mail without putting on makeup? Has your boyfriend ever seen you without it... And, even worse, if he has, has he made a degrading comment, only worsening your compulsion to always wear makeup?
Makeup is great to wear sometimes. It can bring out features, for some. For others, such as myself, I wear it as an artform, and for nostalgic reasons. My fave eyeshadow colors are blue and green, as it reminds me of the 80s, and also when I was a teen. I will do it the same exact way almost everytime, changing lipstick colors.
If a girl wants to wear it everyday, this is fine, but when it is too much of a part of your identity, there may be a problem. less male attention when I went out in public. Really, I am glad about that. There's only one guy I want, and I haven't met him yet. But the thing is, when I wore makeup, I believe the colors caused guys to notice me more. With myself out in public without makeup, more guys walk by, don't even notice me.
That said, it's already known fact that most women wear makeup for male attention. If the guy doesn't like you without it, then he is not the guy for you.
Try to go without makeup. You have a face that you cover with colorful chemicals, whether you use natural or not. If you cannot do this, you reallllly need to work on your self-esteem. As a person, you should love yourself. God loves you. He created you without makeup on. Embrace who you really are. I am not saying to never wear makeup again, that it's self-loathing or something, but that many women are too attached to cosmetics.
